Monochrome Wales (Cymru Du a Gwyn) is a website dedicated to photography of the Welsh landscape. Fine art prints and canvas art in black and white are available to buy. The galleries show pictures from North Wales, South Wales, Mid Wales, West Wales, and of urban contemporary art of cities such as Swansea and Cardiff. Pembrokeshire and Gwynedd are well represented.

All photographs for sale are giclee art prints produced by Hywel Harris, a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. Although Hywel continues to work in the darkroom, photographic prints for sale on the site are digital photography images either from negatives or digital files. Should you not find an image you like, then please get in touch, as Hywel also carries out commissions, whether they be landscapes or general commercial work.

Forthcoming events

One of Hywel's images is on display at the Tros Gynnal children's charity exhibition at Swansea Museum from 8th October to 19th November. This image and other artworks will be auctioned in aid of the charity on 20 November at a celebrity auction in the Museum.
